Kerkez ‘transfer sealed’ as Andy Robertson bombshell emerges

Bournemouth star Milos Kerkez is edging closer to a move to Liverpool.

The Cherries left-back is the subject of advanced talks between the clubs, with a move expected to be completed sooner rather than later.

Iconic commentator Ian Darke told Liverpool News that Andy Robertson would not be willing to accept a back-up role and could look to move on.

That seems to be a realistic option after the latest development involving the Anfield star.

Robertson to leave Liverpool amid new update

Robertson’s departure is a realistic possibility for Arne Slot‘s side, with his place in the starting line-up not a guarantee for next season.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano (14 June) claims that the Scotland captain has emerged as Atletico Madrid’s top target for the left-back position.

It states that they consider him as the ideal player, although a deal with the Reds will not be easily achievable.

Liverpool will be even better with Kerkez

The 21-year-old is a dynamic full-back who can impact at both ends, something which Robertson has been lacking in recent seasons.

The former Hull City man is a Reds legend, helping the Merseysiders to a Champions League trophy and two Premier League titles since his move in 2017, but his time at the top in England is seemingly coming to an end.

Meanwhile, the Hungary ace is on the rise, he is a solid defender and has proven to be a very dangerous attacking threat in the top-flight too since moving to the Vitality Stadium.

The 23-cap international notched two goals and five assists in 38 matches, compared to the Scotsman, who bagged just one assist in a dismal season going forward based on his usual standards.

It is time for a changing of the guard at left-back, and it seems like it is only a matter of time before it happens after the latest update.

There is the potential for Robertson to stay and fight for his place, but he may choose to take a guaranteed starting place with Diego Simeone’s side and embark on a different adventure, just like Trent Alexander-Arnold.
