Liverpool fans will love Slot’s next move as hero tipped for Anfield return
Liverpool supporters have plenty of reasons to be excited for the new season.
The Reds secured the Premier League title in comfortable fashion and Arne Slot is set to be backed to try to retain the trophy.
He may have to do it without one key member of his coaching staff, with former Everton ace John Heitinga being sounded out by Ajax for their managerial vacancy.
However, that may open the door for a remarkable Anfield return.

Slot set to bring Kuyt back to Liverpool
Dirk Kuyt is a cult hero on Merseyside, having made 285 appearances for the Reds across a six-year spell.
A report from Pete O’Rourke via his personal X account (28 May) claims that Slot is lining up a move for the 104-cap international to replace the former Blues star.
It states that the former attacker is currently working as manager of Belgian outfit Beerschot but is set to leave.
Liverpool fans will love Kuyt return
Heitinga has established himself as a popular figure amongst supporters and players and his exit will be a disappointing one.
Meanwhile, Kuyt’s first managerial role at Dutch side ADO Den Haag ended as he was sacked after just 16 matches but he has had a much better time across the border.

The former Liverpool ace led the Antwerp-based side to promotion to the top tier of Belgian football in an impressive reign in the dugout but they look set to come straight back down.
The Dutch forward has always been a fan favourite on the red half of Merseyside due to his relentless work rate and goalscoring exploits, with 111 goal contributions for the Reds and still visits regularly for legends matches.
He understood the club and what it means to pull on the famous shirt, and was rewards for his faith in the L4 outfit, winning the 2012 League Cup title before he departed.
Therefore, if he is appointed as a replacement for his departing compatriot, it will be seen as a positive move and may signal a more attacking approach from Slot.
The boss already tried to bring Kuyt onto his staff in his time at Feyenoord, so the move makes sense now that he is losing a key ally.
