Exclusive: Trent Alexander-Arnold will play for Real Madrid in June after Liverpool announcement
Trent Alexander-Arnold has played his last game for Liverpool ahead of his impending move to Real Madrid, and his debut could come sooner than expected.
Liverpool fans were furious as Alexander-Arnold announced that he will depart on a free transfer, and he faced a hostile reception at times despite winning a second Premier League title.
The right-back has spent 20 years, and his entire career to date, at Liverpool, but is expected to move to the Spanish giants within weeks.
Real Madrid will be competing in the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup this summer, a tournament Liverpool did not qualify for, and Alexander-Arnold may now make his debut there.

Real Madrid pushing for early Alexander-Arnold signing
Alexander-Arnold is under contract at Anfield until the end of June, but with Liverpool’s season over, he will not be seen in the famous red again.
This could mean he makes a move to Real Madrid earlier than expected, but they would have to pay a fee to Liverpool to break his contract before it expires.
Speaking exclusively to Liverpool News, broadcaster Siddarth Mishra from Real Madrid channel Let’s Be Real, has stated that Los Blancos expect the defender to join them in time for the start of the tournament on June 15, with an announcement soon.

“The deal will be announced soon. He will play the Club World Cup with the team,” Mishra stated.
“The only thing is that clubs have not agreed on the fee yet; his contract with Liverpool is until June 30.
“Madrid are now pushing to close the deal.”

Alexander-Arnold to play in Club World Cup
When Alexander-Arnold’s move goes through, and earlier than anticipated as is now the expectation, he will arrive in time to play in the Club World Cup, with Real Madrid’s first game on 18 June against Al-Hilal.
While he may be eager to get started with his new team as soon as possible, he will be sacrificing a full summer break before beginning his next chapter at the start of next season.
Given that his minutes were limited by Arne Slot in recent weeks, Alexander-Arnold should be fit enough to play in the tournament, and kickstart his career in Madrid perfectly.
