Virgil van Dijk has called on the Anfield outfit to strengthen their ranks to ensure that they retain their crown next season.

Van Dijk reacts to Eze heroics at Wembley
Eberechi Eze was the difference-maker in the FA Cup final as he smashed home in the 16th minute to leave Pep Guardiola‘s side trophyless.
The 26-year-old has notched 13 goals and 11 assists in all competitions for Crystal Palace this season and has been touted with a big move in the summer.
The South London-born star has been backed to make a £60million switch to Anfield by former Manchester United scout Mick Brown, who still has strong connections within the game.
Speaking to Football Insider (17 April), he said:
After the contest, he took to Instagram to celebrate bringing home Palace’s first major honour in their history, saying: “Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in Eberechi Eze, they’ve been keeping an eye on his performances, as have other clubs, and could make a move if he is going to leave Palace this summer.”
Van Dijk liked the post, along with Reds teammates Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Cody Gakpo.
Eze can make the step up at Liverpool
The one-cap England star has proven that he is a reliable option in the top-flight and his impressive numbers would only increase if he moved to Merseyside.
Playing with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Gakpo and Luis Diaz and Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister behind him would give him more freedom and a better to show his creative and goalscoring abilities.

The Reds have been linked with Bayer Leverkusen ace Florian Wirtz and Kevin De Bruyne but if they cannot pull off those deals due to the finances involved, Eze is the perfect alternative.
The rumoured £60m fee is a fair price for a player who is entering his prime years and has shown that he deserves the chance to play for a top team.
He already has the endorsement from Van Dijk, whether he makes the move or sticks with Palace now they have European football next season, remains to be seen though.
