Luis Diaz congratulates one Crystal Palace star after FA Cup win v Man City
Liverpool fans witnessed Man City miss out on yet another trophy this season as they lost to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.
Arne Slot’s side were knocked out of the competition by Plymouth Argyle earlier in the season, but their Premier League title has seen this result quickly forgotten.
Instead, Liverpool fans watched their biggest adversary from the past few years end their campaign on a whimper thanks to Eberechi Eze’s sole goal.
As a result, multiple Reds players were quick to congratulate Palace’s players, including Luis Diaz.

Diaz congratulates fellow Colombian Daniel Muñoz after Crystal Palace’s FA Cup victory
Crystal Palace wrote themselves into FA Cup history on Saturday after they beat Man City 1-0.
While the game might not have involved the Reds, it has had an impact, with Liverpool now set to play Palace in the Community Shield next season.
On top of this, many of Slot’s squad took their time to praise many of the London club’s players after their victory.
Virgil van Dijk praised Eze after his FA Cup heroics against Man City.
Now, Diaz has become the latest player to offer his congratulations to a Palace star after he commented on Daniel Muñoz’s post.
His Colombian international teammate posted a photo of him holding the FA Cup after the game.
Diaz then made a comment in Spanish, which translates to: “Many congratulations my little brother.”
Crystal Palace’s FA Cup victory will benefit Liverpool
There are plenty of indirect consequences of Palace’s FA Cup win which will benefit Liverpool.
The most obvious is the London club’s qualification for Europe. This means that seventh place is now a Europa Conference League spot, which multiple big teams could still end up in, including Man City.
This will be a big financial loss for whoever ends up in the competition, which should help Liverpool eclipse that side even further.
Hopefully, Man City end up seventh, which could lead to a dominant period for Slot’s side, while Man City will likely only slide further down the Premier League table.
