Liverpool send classy message to Everton as the Toffees say goodbye to Goodison Park
Liverpool have had a season to celebrate after Arne Slot lifted the Premier League title.
With two Premier League matchdays still left to play, the Reds have little on the line.
Slot’s side won the title with plenty of matches to spare, meaning they have been able to relax throughout May.
However, in the blue side of Merseyside, Everton had one of the biggest games in their history, with Liverpool sending a show of support to their fierce rivals.

Liverpool make Goodison Park tribute as Everton play final match
Liverpool’s rivals have finally waved goodbye to Goodison Park after over a century at the stadium as they beat Southampton 2-0.
Over the years, there have been some memorable Merseyside derbies at the ground.
While Liverpool couldn’t beat Everton at Goodison Park earlier this season, the Reds have enjoyed more success than their rivals at the stadium in recent years.
Now, ahead of the Toffees’ final goodbye, Liverpool have posted a classy tribute on their social media account on X.
The post read (18 May): “An historic stadium, a place where we have fought against one another and stood with each other. Highs, lows and so many memories. The end of an era at Goodison Park and the beginning of a new one.”
Attached was an image which had a banner saying: “The Kop thanks you all, we never walked alone.”
Liverpool need to continue their trend of victories at the Hill Dickinson Stadium
The one thing Liverpool cannot let happen next season is an Everton Merseyside derby win at their new stadium next season.
The Reds made a habit of winning at Goodison Park, and they must make sure this trend continues at the Toffees new ground.
If Everton do win, it would be a key early victory in their stadium and would help them settle far quicker.
Hopefully, Liverpool will go to the Hill Dickinson Stadium next season and cruise to yet another victory over Everton on their way to another Premier League title under Slot.
