Liverpool make official Ryan Gravenberch announcement

Ryan Gravenberch has enjoyed a standout season for Liverpool, having cemented himself in Arne Slot’s side.

After an indifferent first season at Anfield, credit must go to the Dutchman for taking his game to the next level.

Often overlooked because of Mohamed Salah, Gravenberch is now getting the recognition he deserves.

Gravenberch gets just rewards for fine season

When Gravenberch arrived in the North West, he showed promise but looked out of depth at times in Jurgen Klopp’s system.

Indeed, there were question marks whether he would find a place in Liverpool’s starting eleven, but he has amplified his game this season.

With the departure of Klopp, Slot has put faith in his compatriot, and he has delivered for his boss in spades.

Gravenberch has been central to Liverpool’s success

At 22, there is no reason why Gravenberch cannot be a mainstay in the Reds’ side for years to come.

It is no wonder that his form is being recognised, with the Dutchman among the names listed for the Premier League Player of the Season award.

The former Bayern Munich man has been nominated alongside his teammates Virgil van Dijk and Salah, according to the club website.

Liverpool’s outstanding trio are joined by Morgan Gibbs-White, Alexander Isak, Bryan Mbeumo, Declan Rice, and Chris Wood.

The winner of the award will be announced on 24 May.

Liverpool must build squad around Gravenberch

Given how instrumental Gravenberch has been to Liverpool’s success, the Merseyside club must build a squad around him.

The 22-year-old’s performances have caught the attention of Europe’s finest, with Real Madrid interested in his services.

With that in mind, the Reds must ensure that he is central to their plans when signing new players.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with multiple players as they aim to retain their Premier League title.

A deal for Jeremie Frimpong looks highly likely, with the Anfield club set to meet the right-back’s release clause.

On the opposite side of their defence, Milos Kerkez has been strongly linked and would be keen on a move to the champions.

It is upfront where Slot’s side are lacking, but if they sign a proven goalscorer, then they have every chance of lifting the Premier League trophy again.
