Liverpool close in on unprecedented record ahead of Brighton clash
Liverpool are just two games away from completing the 2025/26 campaign, but they still could break one unbelievable record.
It has no doubt been an incredible first campaign for Arne Slot. The Dutchman has overseen the Merseyside club’s 20th top division title as they dominated the league.
However, there has been little to play for since they secured their Premier League title, with their form dwindling.
Yet, Liverpool could still set one unprecedented record which no former Reds side has ever done when they travel to Brighton on Monday.

Liverpool aim to become the first Reds side to score in every top-flight away match
Liverpool’s match against Brighton will be their last away trip of the season before they return to Anfield on the final day to play FA Cup finalist’s Crystal Palace.
While the match means little to the league table, Liverpool have a chance to once again make history before they bow out for the campaign.
According to Liverpool’s official website (13 May), if the Reds score past Brighton, they will have netted in every single Premier League away match this season.
This feat has never been achieved in Liverpool’s history throughout the top-flight.
In fact, if the Merseyside outfit were to achieve this, they would become only the ninth side to do so in English football and just the fourth to do so in a league including at least 20 clubs.

Liverpool victories will be expected against Brighton and Crystal Palace
After two matches without a win, Slot will now be expected to end this poor run of form next week.
The campaign has no doubt been fantastic, and it would be a shame to end it without a victory.
Hopefully, the chance to make history will give the squad extra incentive to win at the Amex Stadium.
The travelling Liverpool fans will no doubt be in fine voice and will be hoping to see a good performance before the campaign ends.
