Harry Kane transfer ‘can ease pain of Alexander-Arnold Liverpool exit’
Liverpool will lose one of their main assets this summer when Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves Anfield.
The homegrown academy graduate has played a key role in helping Liverpool win two Premier League titles, the Champions League, an FA Cup, and two Carabao Cups.
While the Liverpudlian is a defender, it is his remarkable attacking exploits over the years that have caught the eye, and he has notched four goals and seven assists for the Anfield side this term.
He most recently put himself on the scoresheet in a 1-0 Premier League win over Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Sunday, 20 April, and he was emotional as he celebrated what could prove to be his last goal before he potentially joins Real Madrid.

Harry Kane signing could help Liverpool replace Alexander-Arnold
Alexander-Arnold is arguably one of the most technically gifted players in the world.
The right-back boasts passing ability that very few have at their disposal, which Arne Slot will miss.
Trent Alexander-Arnold | Premier League 2024/25 |
Appearances | 31 |
Goals | 3 |
Assists | 6 |
Chances created | 51 |
Successful passes | 1,214 |
Accurate long balls | 119 |
However, the Reds have been linked with England’s record goal scorer, Harry Kane, who also has a fantastic passing range in his locker.
Alexander-Arnold has pulled the strings over the years by moving up to midfield and beginning attacks via his incisive passing.
Similarly, should Liverpool acquire Kane, the striker could drop deep into the middle of the park and provide the likes of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz with equally exquisite service to that of the full-back.
Therefore, if Kane does move to Anfield, he could help ease the pain left behind by Alexander-Arnold’s exit.

Kane could form a formidable partnership with Salah
Liverpool have deservedly won the Premier League title in Slot’s first season in charge of the Merseyside giants, and it is arguably difficult to improve an attack which already boasts Salah.
The Egyptian has been one of the best players in the world this season, notching an incredible return of 33 goals and 23 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions.
It was fitting that Salah got himself on the scoresheet when the Reds clinched the Premier League title by hammering Tottenham 5-1 at Anfield on Sunday, 27 April.
However, Liverpool’s attack could be made all the more dangerous if the Anfield side can land Kane’s services this summer.
The England star could be keen on making a Premier League return after winning the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich, and could even have his sights on Alan Shearer’s goal-scoring record.
His most prolific season for Tottenham came in 2020/21, when he scored 33 goals and created 17 assists, forming a notable partnership with Spurs winger Son Heung-Min, and Kane could be capable of linking up with Salah in a similar fashion.
