Ryan Gravenberch hailed at Liverpool as German source speaks out
Liverpool won the Premier League with ease this season, and smart squad building in recent years has paid off with the ultimate prize.
Arne Slot beat the odds to triumph over Arsenal and Manchester City this season, and he helped revitalise Jurgen Klopp’s squad with few additions.
Some did accuse Liverpool of being overly reliant on Mohamed Salah, but there were several other top performers in the team throughout the campaign.
One player has now been praised for his improvement at Liverpool, and the Reds have been praised for facilitating his development.

Bayern ex-director praises Ryan Gravenberch development
Ryan Gravenberch has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season, and very few would have predicted this at the start of the campaign.
Gravenberch joined from Bayern Munich last year, but the former Ajax wonderkid had a slow start at Anfield before eventually hitting his best form.
Speaking to Sky Sports on May 6, former Bayern director Marco Neppe claimed that he knew Gravenberch would develop into the player he is today.

“I am super happy for Ryan. He is a special midfielder. When we signed him from Ajax, we were 100 per cent convinced. And, honestly, we never doubted his qualities. We knew he would bring it someday. We saw exactly what he is now showing at Liverpool,” he stated.
“But sometimes it is about needing some patience, too. Even in his first season at Liverpool, it was not easy. It is a momentum thing.
“There are so many stories in football where big careers start because of an injury to another player, and they take their chance.”

Liverpool’s patience over Gravenberch pays off
Liverpool were in the market for a defensive midfielder in the summer window, and heavily pursued Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad.
However, the Spaniard turned down the move, leaving Liverpool frustrated in the summer window, but Gravenberch proved to be the perfect internal solution.
After a mixed first season, a settled Gravenberch became a vital cog under Slot, dropping back into a defensive midfield role.
Liverpool handed Gravenberch the chance to establish himself as a key part of the team, and he repaid that faith with an outstanding campaign, and has saved the Reds a lot of money by solving one of their biggest transfer problems.
Now, it is all about securing that consistency to kick on and win more silverware, with the unrelenting pursuit of success at Liverpool never letting up.
