Harry Kane to make ‘unbelievable’ Liverpool transfer after major development
Harry Kane has been tipped to join Liverpool after a major Bayern Munich development.
After clinching the club’s second-ever Premier League title, Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday (4 May) after a performance which suggests the players are already on the beach.
Therefore, Arne Slot will likely already be thinking ahead to next season as the Reds look to defend the Premier League title.
There are bound to be changes in the squad this summer, including departures, with Trent Alexander-Arnold’s impending exit now confirmed. However, there could be some big signings at Anfield too.

Ally McCoist moots Kane to join Liverpool
Slot will likely be keen to sign a new centre-forward this summer, especially if Jota leaves Liverpool.
McCoist previously suggested that the Reds could test the waters for Kane.
The England striker finally won the first major trophy of his career on Sunday (4 May) as Bayern clinched the Bundesliga title after Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-2 draw with SC Freiburg at Europa-Park Stadion.
| Bundesliga 2024/25 | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Harry Kane | 29 | 24 | 9 |
And while in discussion about this on talkSPORT (5 May, 6:28 am), McCoist said, “I could still see Kane in that Liverpool number nine jersey, I’m just throwing that out there.
“I’m telling you, I think he would be unbelievable at Liverpool, I think he’d be the perfect number nine for them.”
Kane would be a game-changing signing for Liverpool
Slot’s side won the Premier League title with relative ease this season.
The Reds wrapped things up with four Premier League games left to play and are currently 15 points clear of their closest challengers, Arsenal, even after the defeat at Stamford Bridge. Therefore, it seems ridiculous to suggest that there is any room for improvement at Anfield.
However, there are areas of the pitch where Slot could use some reinforcements, particularly in the full-back areas and up front.
A new striker will likely be the priority on Merseyside this summer, and if Liverpool could sign Kane, arguably the greatest striker in Europe, who now has a weight lifted off his shoulders after winning the first major trophy of his career, that could be a game-changing addition.
