Liverpool ex-star in running to be Newport County manager after exit news
Liverpool supporters may see a familiar face in the Newport County dugout soon.
The Reds fans will not have paid much attention to League Two as their side were pushing for the Premier League title.
However, they may take an interest as a former Red could be appointed to replace Nelson Jardim who left Rodney Parade last week (24 April).

Joe Allen set for managerial debut after retirement announcement
Former Anfield ace Allen announced recently that he was set to retire from football at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old played his final match in Swansea City’s 3-3 draw with Oxford United (3 May) and brings an illustrious career to an end.
He could head straight in the dugout after his retirement, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds for the Newport vacancy.
Allen is ranked at odds of 4/1 to be appointed in South Wales with Bet Victor, the second favourite for the role with the struggling club.
Former Leeds United and Birmingham City boss Garry Monk is the favourite to take over, at odds of 6/4.

Liverpool fans will wish Allen well
Allen was a lynchpin of the Brendan Rodgers era on Merseyside, making 132 appearances after signing from the Swans in the summer of 2012.
He featured 26 times in the 2013-14 campaign when the Reds pushed for a maiden Premier League title but ultimately came up short in a devastating conclusion to the season.

Rodgers is disliked by the Anfield faithful due to his brash attitude and comments since leaving L4 but the Welshman is not held in the same kind of contempt.
Allen was sold by Jurgen Klopp in the summer of 2016, leaving for Stoke City for a fee of approximately £13million before returning to South Wales to finish his career with the former top-flight outfit.
The 77-cap international is respected for his contributions in a tumultuous era and the club’s official website even released a statement on his retirement plans.
The veteran will be wished well in his new endeavour and some supporters may even keep an eye out on how he is doing, if he gets the role.
