Chelsea v Liverpool result predicted by supercomputer
Liverpool travel to Chelsea on Sunday on a high after securing the Premier League title.
Arne Slot’s side were crowned as champions with four matches to spare after the 5-1 victory over Tottenham (27 April).
The Anfield outfit will still want to win at Stamford Bridge (4 May) as they will be keen to finish on the maximum of 94 points, a tally that legendary managers Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger never reached.
Liverpool expected to lose at Chelsea
There is no love lost between the Londoners and the Merseyside outfit, there have been many intense battles between the sides in the league and Champions League in the past.
The Opta supercomputer predicts that the clash will go in favour of the Blues this time, with a 43.2 per cent chance of victory for the hosts.
Slot’s side have been handed a 32 per cent chance of winning the contest with a draw rated as the least likely outcome at 24.9 per cent.
Slot will be keen for Liverpool to keep pushing
It is understandable that the percentages lie in Chelsea’s favour, given that the Reds could be in celebration mode already and the hosts are still fighting for a Champions League berth.
However, there is a danger to underestimating the L4 outfit, they will be keen to keep momentum ahead of the new season and win their remaining matches.

Salah is still chasing multiple records, including for assists in a single top-flight season which is currently shared by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne, so there is still plenty of motivation for the champions to turn up and put on a show.
The title is a magnificent achievement for Slot in his first season in English football but he will want to push himself further up in the history books by recording one of the best ever league seasons.
He could do even better next campaign, with Virgil van Dijk and Salah set to stick around and Fenway Sports Group set to back him in the transfer window.
That remains to be seen, although one thing is for sure, regardless of the result, the away support will bring the party.
