Liverpool ‘to deal Arsenal major summer transfer blow’ as Coman update drops

Liverpool are set to hand Arsenal another blow after beating them to the Premier League this season.

The Reds secured the title by hammering Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at Anfield on Sunday (27 April), officially ending Arsenal’s challenge.

Liverpool have blown Mikel Arteta’s side away throughout the course of the season, with their quality proving to be too much for the Gunners to cope with on a weekly basis.

However, Arne Slot is now keen for the Merseyside giants to add to the squad in a bid to make it even more competitive for next season in a bid to retain the title.

Liverpool are interested in signing Kingsley Coman

Slot wants to improve his attacking options for next season, with Darwin Nunez expected to be departing the Premier League giants as he has failed to win Slot over.

According to CaughtOffside (30 April), Liverpool are now preparing to make a move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, who is considering his future with the German giants.

The France international has been tempted by big-money offers from the Saudi Pro League, which means that interested parties across Europe will have to step up.

It is believed that the 28-year-old would cost something in the margin of £34million, which is something that the Reds are keen to tap into.

Liverpool will look to beat Arsenal again

While Liverpool have beaten Arsenal with their work on the pitch this season, they will be hoping to do the same in the transfer window when it comes to the Munich winger.

That’s because Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in bringing him to England during the summer transfer window.

Coman has dropped out of the starting lineup for Bayern Munich lately, becoming more of a squad player for the Bundesliga side.

This is why the winger is now ready to make a change ahead of next season, even though he has two years remaining on his contract.

Interest in him started last summer from Saudi Arabia, and Arsenal have been monitoring him for a long time.

However, Liverpool is now seen as the most likely destination, but they need to firm their interest with a concrete proposal to take things to the next stage.
