Sky Sports reporter shares image from Anfield every Liverpool supporter will love

Liverpool are preparing to make a significant change to Anfield today after their historic achievement on Sunday.

The Reds won their 20th league title by defeating Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 (27 April), wrapping up the Premier League after a dominant season.

Despite initially going behind to a Dominic Solanke header, Liverpool fired back with goals from Luis Diaz Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, and an own goal via Destine Udogie.

Arne Slot’s men won the title in style, which has been how they have played throughout the entire campaign, and it was party mode for Anfield ever since.

Liverpool supporters were celebrating long into the night outside the iconic stadium, as they embraced being able to enjoy the moment in person after their last title win took place during the pandemic.

Anfield is set to undergo a facelift

Now that the dust has settled around Anfield and the area has been cleaned up, Liverpool are wasting no time in updating the stadium to match their recent success.

The Reds have an area outside the stadium known as ‘The Champions Wall,’ which highlights every trophy that Liverpool have won, and how many times they have done it.

That is now being changed, as Vinny O’Connor shared an update from the area showcasing that it is now blocked off with a ladder in place for a spot of redecoration, with the 19 set to be tweaked to 20.

Liverpool are now looking ahead to the future

Liverpool might be enjoying embracing the situation right now, but behind the scenes, the work is already taking place to move the Reds forward.

The Merseyside giants are aiming to be busy during the summer transfer window as Slot wants to try and bring in his own players after working with a squad that Jurgen Klopp left behind.

The Liverpool boss would like to spruce up his attacking options, with Alexander Isak being identified as a top target.

However, signing the Newcastle United forward will be difficult, and there are other areas of the pitch such as left and right-back, where Slot is also looking to improve.
