Richarlison left rattled in Liverpool game

Sunday was a day all about Liverpool as they celebrated being the best side in English football as it stands.

Their fierce rivalry with Everton has continued throughout the campaign in a season where David Moyes brought the Toffees back from the fight against relegation.

Nevertheless, Liverpool certainly remain the top side in Merseyside and were even able to get a jibe at their rivals included in their victory on Sunday.

Liverpool are the best team in Merseyside.

Tottenham brought on former-Everton man Richarlison as a substitute at Anfield and Harvey Elliott took no time to get stuck in against him.

The Brazilian reacted to Elliott after he tried to nutmeg him and the boyhood Liverpool supporter replied with a smirk and a 30 gesture, seemingly aimed at Everton’s 30-year wait for a trophy.

Richarlison has taken his reaction even further, having responded to a video of the clash on TikTok, posting to say: “He wants to reach 30 goals in his career I think.”

Liverpool loving life as champions

Liverpool are well deserving of their title this season, having an impressive record in the Premier League that pushed them to the top of the league.

Furthermore, the way that the Reds managed to take a dig at Everton and wind up Richarlison over that will be an extra win for Elliott.

There have been suggestions that Liverpool’s success this season has been as a result of poor competition rather than their own success, giving Slot’s men something to prove next season.

For now, the Anfield outfit are enjoying their victory, and rightly so, but they will be keen to get back to work in the summer, ready to produce similar levels of success again next season.

Everton will be looking ahead to better times, meaning the Reds will be keen to keep their own bragging rights at the top too.
