Darwin Nunez ‘finished at Liverpool’ – Three things learned in Tottenham victory
Liverpool won the Premier League title in stunning style as they thrashed Tottenham 5-1 in a glorious day at Anfield.
Liverpool won their 20th league title at Anfield in front of their fans as Arne Slot’s side showed why they are so far ahead of the rest of the Premier League.
Goals from Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo gave Liverpool a 3-1 lead at half time, before Mohamed Salah’s strike was followed by an own goal from Destiny Udogie.
This secured Liverpool’s first title since 2020, and their first in front of fans in 35 years, and there was plenty to take away from a stunning performance at Anfield.
Liverpool News highlights the three things that were learned from the clash.

Darwin Nunez frustrates Liverpool fans again
Striker Darwin Nunez has an uncertain future at Liverpool, and could be set to leave in the summer.
He was substituted on in the second half, and with a point to prove, he could have netted another goal in the thrashing as he ran through on goal.
Matches | Goals | Assists |

However, Nunez frustrated the Anfield crowd, as instead of shooting he played a square ball to Salah, but his pass was inaccurate and the chance was wasted.
The Uruguayan has struggled this season, and this was another example of his poor decision-making, which will ultimately end his Liverpool career.

Alexis Mac Allister is vital for Slot
Ryan Gravenberch is often considered to be Liverpool’s most important midfielder, but Mac Allister has arguably proven that he is the vital cog for Slot.
The Argentinian scored a stunning goal to make it 2-1, and he delivered yet another fine display in the middle of the park.
Mac Allister has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season, and is now undroppable for Slot, with his latest performance showcasing all his best qualities.
Luis Diaz may still have Liverpool future
Diaz opened the scoring, and was a constant threat as he led the line superbly against Tottenham.
The Colombian has had an inconsistent season, and Diaz has also been linked with a move away from Anfield this summer.
However, his form has improved in recent weeks, and his display on the title-winning day was an impressive one.
Should Diaz keep this form up, he could still have a future at Liverpool, with it unclear whether this will be his final season or not.
