Noel Gallagher drops Arne Slot Liverpool verdict live on air
Noel Gallagher is often on the wrong side when it comes to Liverpool fans.
The Oasis frontman is a Manchester City supporter and the sides have been involved in a brutal rivalry in recent years.
However, he is less bitter than his brother Liam, who often ends up in social media spats with Reds fans after his outbursts.

Liverpool ‘miles ahead’ as PL win nears
Liverpool needs just one point against Tottenham (27 April) to wrap up a first Premier League title since the 2019-20 campaign after Arsenal and City faltered away.
It has been an incredible first season in English football for Arne Slot after replacing Jurgen Klopp in the dugout.
Gallagher believes that the Dutchman’s side have deserved to win the title, as they have been the best team.
Speaking on talkSPORT (25 April, 9:10 am), he said: “They were a pretty great team anyway [under Klopp]…
“I hear all the debate on talkSPORT about it wasn’t a great season, it was boring and all of this but the best team always win the league and Liverpool were miles in front of everybody.”
Slot can kick on and win more with Liverpool
The Dutchman is set to be backed heavily in the summer by owners Fenway Sports Group to improve his squad after making just one signing last summer, Italian winger Federico Chiesa.
If they can buy the right players in the summer, it may be a very scary campaign next season for the likes of City and the Gunners as the Reds would already have a step ahead as defending champions.
Premier League | Played | GD | Points |
1. Liverpool | 33 | +44 | 79 |
2. Arsenal | 34 | +34 | 67 |
The fact that they were able to tie down Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk to new deals for another two years could be huge as it makes the rebuild slightly smaller in the immediate future.
The expectations for Slot will be much higher next season, he will be wanting his side to go further in the Champions League and retain their domestic crown.
That will take significant investment, as several positions need upgrading such as left back, holding midfielder and the number nine role.
Sporting director Richard Hughes and Slot have a lot of work to do, much more than last summer but if they get it right, it could set the Anfield outfit up for further success and Slot could fulfil his remit to win the highest honours on Merseyside.
