Liverpool set for ‘fascinating’ summer after Arne Slot developments emerge
Liverpool’s focus will soon turn away from the Premier League title race and onto the new season.
The Reds need just one point from the Anfield clash with Tottenham (27 April) to be crowned as champions and should be able to get the job done as Ange Postecoglou’s side have attentions turned elsewhere.
However, there is still a lot of work to be done to get themselves in a position to defend their crown despite Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk signing new deals.
Slot set for Liverpool revamp
The Anfield outfit looks set for a major summer rebuild as Slot overhauls his squad for the first time.
The Dutchman and sporting director Richard Hughes‘ arrival last summer meant that they took time to assess the squad at their disposal and only added Federico Chiesa.
However, they are expected to be a lot busier this time around, with Dominic King talking about the plans on talkSPORT (25 April, 7:16 am), he said: “I think it’s going to be fascinating next season, Slot will definitely make signings this summer, they’re well on the trail of the two lads at Bournemouth, Kerkez and Huijsen, they will be looking at others too.
“It has been a long time since Liverpool have had a big transfer window in the summer… They are due a summer like this to rejuvenate the squad.”
Liverpool can build on Slot’s success
If they get the right players in the summer, Slot’s team could go up another level and that is a scary proposition for rival supporters.
The Dutchman has only lost two league matches all season and is on the verge of securing the title with an impressive record for his first season in England after replacing Jurgen Klopp.

Far too often, Fenway Sports Group were accused of failing to back the German with what he needed to take the squad further, however, it will soon be at a point where it cannot be put off any longer.
They need to back Slot heavily, let him build the squad that he wants and go all out to win whatever they can.
However, the expectations will be higher next season as a result of their success, especially if they spend a fortune in the market although Slot will not have been under any illusions, he has he brought to Merseyside to win the biggest honours.
So far, so good, and if the summer recruitment is a hit, then there is every chance that he will achieve more success in the near future.
