Arne Slot ready for Xavi Simons reunion in £68m Liverpool development
Liverpool are already in the race to sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig this summer.
The Reds are currently focused on winning the Premier League this season to secure their 20th top-flight title in their history.
Three points in their upcoming fixture against Tottenham (27 April) will seal that at Anfield, but work is already underway on prepping the squad for next season.
Arne Slot is looking to further put his fingerprints on things this summer after working with what Jurgen Klopp left behind throughout his first season at Anfield.

Liverpool would like to sign Simons
Simons is one target that the Premier League giants are considering, with the Netherlands international being a proven attacking threat.
His performances this season have caught the attention of Liverpool fans, who have been urging the Reds to get a deal agreed for him, and that’s exactly what they’re trying to do.
However, signing the 22-year-old will not come cheap, especially since he’s under contract with the Bundesliga side until 2027.
According to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg, RB Leipzig are demanding around £68million for his services this summer, and there is plenty of competition for his signature.

Liverpool are not the only European powerhouse trying to sign Simons, as Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and several other teams have been monitoring his situation.
However, as of now, there have been no official offers submitted for him, with teams likely weighing up the costs involved in the deal.
Liverpool have been getting business done
While the Reds haven’t submitted any offers for Simons, they have been hard at work behind the scenes securing the futures of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.
Both men recently signed contract extensions at Anfield, ensuring that they’re going nowhere in the immediate future.
Retaining Salah and Van Dijk is like making two major signings due to their qualities, as replacing both men was going to prove tricky for Slot to do.
However, he may still need to find a right-back as Trent Alexander-Arnold appears set to join Real Madrid, unless Slot is willing to give Conor Bradley an opportunity to shine.
Change is coming, and it will likely cost many millions.
