Liverpool fans all say same thing as Slot names starting XI v Leicester – ‘Wow’

Arne Slot has made two changes to his Liverpool line-up to face Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.

Liverpool can take another step towards clinching the Premier League title with a victory over Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side on 20 April.

The Foxes, on the other hand, are all but confirmed to go down, but will be determined to keep any hope of survival alive with an upset against the visitors.

Nevertheless, Slot and Co. are the favourites going into the game and anything other than a routine would be cause of frustration for the Merseyside-based club.

Liverpool starting XI v Leicester

Having been knocked out of all other competitions, Liverpool do not have anything else to play for, meaning Slot has named a largely unchanged XI after beating West Ham 2-1 at Anfield last weekend.

Alisson continues in goal after returning to the starting line-up against West Ham. In central defence, Ibrahima Konate starts alongside Virgil van Dijk, who will be keen to mark his new contract with another standout performance.

Andy Robertson starts on the bench again, while Kostas Tsimikas and Conor Bradley keep their places at full-back.

Slot’s reliable duo of Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister plays in a double pivot in midfield, with a returning Dominik Szoboszlai starting further up.

The Hungarian will be flanked by Mohamed Salah as usual, but it will be a toss-up between Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz to see who leads the line.

Trent Alexander-Arnold back, Federico Chiesa out

Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold has returned to the matchday squad, having recovered from an injury.

However, Federico Chiesa is nowhere to be seen in the squad, leaving fans baffled about his omission.

Supporters believe the Italian does not deserve to snubbed like he currently is, while some wonder if he will even get a Premier League winner’s medal at the end of the season.

Nevertheless, Slot will be determined to walk out of the King Power Stadium with all three points to mark Easter.
