Liverpool ‘want Jesus Rodriguez transfer’ after new Arsenal developments

Liverpool could be set for huge changes in the summer transfer window, which could spell bad news for Luis Diaz at Anfield.

Arne Slot may wield the axe on the attacking options within his squad, after a season in which Mohamed Salah has carried several underperforming teammates.

Diaz and Darwin Nunez could be among those set to leave, with Liverpool potentially aiming to sign a new striker and left winger to revitalise their attack.

Liverpool eye up Real Betis winger Jesus Rodriguez

Liverpool are likely to be in the market for a left winger to replace Diaz, and have now targeted Real Betis sensation Jesus Rodriguez.

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a stunning breakthrough in recent months and has helped Betis climb up the table in La Liga with their revitalised attack.

Rodriguez could be a smart addition for Liverpool

Rodriguez has been a revelation at Betis this season, with two goals and two assists in 15 appearances since his breakthrough.

His powerful dribbling has proved especially useful, and is perhaps why Liverpool are interested as a potential Diaz replacement.

Diaz joined Liverpool for around £37.5m in January 2022, and his first few months were electric as he impressed with his speed and dribbling ability.

Rodriguez could have the potential to explode at Liverpool, and would be a long-term asset picked up at a relatively low price if signed this summer.

With the likes of Newcastle superstar Alexander Isak also linked with a move to Anfield, that will likely become the main priority of the summer over deals like this.

Diaz exploded into life at the start of this season, scoring for fun, but that dried up very quickly, leaving Liverpool fans frustrated at his inconsistency in the final.

The Colombian may need more than the simple finish against West Ham last time out to prove himself again, but he will be up for the challenge.
