Liverpool offer ‘huge incentivised’ terms to Mohamed Salah and Van Dijk – Exclusive
Liverpool supporters are in dreamland after Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk signed new contracts.
There were fears that the duo could leave on free transfers at the end of the season with their deals running out but those concerns have been dismissed.
The Reds legends have both signed two-year deals to keep them at Anfield until 2027 at the very least which means that Arne Slot will not have to replace them this summer.

Liverpool terms for Salah and Van Dijk revealed
Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have shelled out a lot of money to keep their two star men on Merseyside for the foreseeable future.
However, finance expert Dan Plumley exclusively told Liverpool News that the terms of the deal will likely rely heavily on incentives.
He said: “I wouldn’t read too much into the numbers because these things are always overinflated in the media in terms of wages, but it will be two significant outlays for sure.
“If you want to keep those two players and they are happy to commit to the terms of the deal, it is likely that there will be an uplift on what they were on previously.
“If not, there will be huge incentivised bonuses and all kinds of things built into those contracts, so yeah, I would imagine it is a significant outlay.”

Salah and Van Dijk can cement legacy at Liverpool
The duo will go down as legends at Anfield regardless of how the remainder of their contracts play out, but they can further enhance their legacies with more success.
They are already likely to add a second Premier League title to their collection of trophies that they have won with the Reds.
Competitions | Wins |
Premier League | 1 (likely to be 2) |
Champions League | 1 |
FA Cup | 1 |
Carabao Cup | 2 |
UEFA Super Cup | 1 |
FIFA Club World Cup | 1 |
Slot will hope to build on their success this campaign, and he now has the spine in place to challenge for the biggest honours once again next season.
The L4 outfit still needs a big transfer window in the summer, with a new left-back, a new right-back due if Trent Alexander-Arnold leaves for Real Madrid, and a holding midfielder to take the burden from Ryan Gravenberch but they will be relieved to have tied down the duo.
