Alexander-Arnold returns, three changes – Liverpool predicted XI v Leicester

Liverpool boss Arne Slot is expected to make three changes to his starting line-up when his side travels to Leicester on Sunday.

The Reds make the trip to the King Power Stadium (20 April) looking to take a step closer to the Premier League title.

The Anfield outfit needs just two victories to be crowned champions and could even secure the title if Arsenal lose to Ipswich in the earlier match.

Joe Gomez and Tyler Morton are still expected to be absent but there could be a major return after a new fitness update.

Trent Alexander-Arnold could be the latest Reds star to return after he was spotted in training on Wednesday (16 April) after missing four matches with an injury suffered in the Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain (11 March).

Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk are predicted to maintain their partnership at the heart of defence, the latter scored the winning goal and won all four aerial duels that he contested for a 100 per cent success rate against the Hammers.

Kostas Tsimikas started the Anfield clash but Andy Robertson is expected to return to face the Foxes as the Greek international was successful with just one of six attempted crosses for a 17 per cent success rate.

Slot to make one change in midfield

Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister are predicted to keep their places in the engine room after impressing against Graham Potter’s side, the latter created two chances, had seven touches in the opposition box and recorded an assist.

In front of that duo, Dominik Szoboszlai might come back into the fold after he was relegated to the bench for the Anfield contest, after Curtis Jones created zero chances and made just two recoveries against the Irons.

Mohamed Salah is expected to continue on the right flank, the Egyptian winger celebrated his new contract with an assist for the opener and created three chances for his teammates in a nervy victory.

Diogo Jota is predicted to lead the line, despite a quiet display against the East London outfit as Slot does not seem to trust the other options at his disposal.

Luis Diaz might continue on the left wing, the Colombian opened the scoring, created two chances and had nine touches in the opposition box as he constantly terrorised the Hammers’ defence.

If the Reds can secure victory against Ruud van Nistelrooy’s relegation-threatened side, they will need just one more to seal a 20th title.

They are heavy favourites to do so but need to ensure that they get the job done and do not let complacency creep in.
