Szoboszlai reacts to Kerkez message as Liverpool speculation continues

Dominik Szoboszlai has been actively following Liverpool transfer targets on Instagram.

On Sunday (April 13), Liverpool edged closer to winning the Premier League with a 2-1 win over West Ham, one day after Arsenal dropped points to Brentford.

Despite the win, the Reds were not as assertive as usual, with the home side looking sloppy against struggling West Ham.

The Hammers hit the woodwork through Mohammed Kudus before Andy Robertson converted into his own net. Ultimately, the Scotsman’s blushes were spared as Virgil van Dijk scored an 89th-minute winner.

Liverpool target Bournemouth star after left-back issues

An uncaptioned Instagram post from Liverpool’s summer transfer target Milos Kerkez was liked by his fellow Hungary international Szobozlai.

The left-back has been a breath of fresh air for Bournemouth this season and has attracted interest from plenty of clubs.

Bournemouth have so far impressed this season, with Kerkez being a key component in ensuring that the Cherries have the joint sixth-best defence in the league.

According to David Ornstein, Manchester City, AC Milan and Napoli are all interested in the 21-year-old, who has two goals and five assists for the Cherries.

A potential new era at left back for the reds

For almost eight years, Liverpool have relied on Scottish left-back Andy Robertson to be defensively solid, and also match Trent Alexander-Arnold’s attacking numbers.

With Trent’s departure to Real Madrid looking imminent, Reds’ fans will potentially see new faces in both wingback positions next season.

Liverpool recently announced that Premier League top scorer Mohamed Salah had signed a new contract but captain Van Dijk has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal that would see him stay beyond this season.

Despite not being directly at fault for his own goal on Sunday, Andy Robertson has shown signs that he is no longer fit to start in a title-contending side.

The 31-year-old is yet to register a goal or assist this season, and with Liverpool’s heavy interest in Kerkez, it wouldn’t be surprising if his playing time is reduced next season.
