Liverpool to make second new contract offer after Salah signs on
Liverpool have endured a season full of contract speculation with the futures of first-team stars such as Mo Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold hanging in the balance for much of the campaign.
Last week, Mo Salah put pen to paper on a new contract that will tie him to the Anfield club until the end of the 26/27 season, putting an end to a saga that has not distracted him from his mercurial on-pitch performances.
Confirmation that Salah had extended his stay in Merseyside for another two years allowed Liverpool fans to breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that the record-breaking Egyptian winger would be starting for their side next season.

Another Anfield contract offer looms
Liverpool had been forced to play without their first-choice goalkeeper Alisson for a good portion of the season after the Brazilian sustained an injury, allowing second-choice Caoimhin Kelleher to take his place as temporary number one.
However, it is easy to forget that when Alisson was substituted away at Selhurst Park, it was not Kelleher but instead Vitezslav Jaros who came on to deputise in the closing minutes.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the 23-year-old is set to be handed a new deal ahead of the new season after developing well under Arne Slot’s backroom staff.
Jaros, who has made one appearance for the Czechia senior side, has spent much of the previous three seasons on loan at clubs across Europe, including spells at Sturm Graz and Stockport County.

Jaros set to stay at Anfield
Despite Jaros’ prospective new deal, the goalkeeping department at Anfield will be shaken up as £29m keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili arrives from Valencia this summer, a deal that was completed last year.
Current Alisson understudy Kelleher looks set to be allowed to leave the club in the summer after a campaign that will likely see him pick up a Premier League winners’ medal after making ten appearances in the competition.
Liverpool fans will hope more contract offers are on the horizon with captain Virgil Van Dijk’s future still hanging in the balance as the season draws to a close.
