Liverpool to make incredible new announcement that is ‘more important than Salah’
Liverpool supporters were left thrilled by the news that talisman Mo Salah had finally signed a contract extension.
The Egypt international could have departed Anfield on a free transfer this summer, but the Reds have now ensured he will stay in Merseyside for a further two years.
Salah could be on course for his best season in Liverpool colours, having already notched 27 goals and 17 assists in 31 Premier League outings this term.
The Reds will be delighted that they have retained the 32-year-old, but star defender Trent Alexander-Arnold could be set to join Real Madrid, while Virgil van Dijk is also yet to agree fresh terms at Anfield and could leave.

Warnock urges Liverpool to hand Van Dijk a new contract
Van Dijk is still one of Liverpool’s most prominent players and has started every single game for Arne Slot’s men in the Premier League this term.
The Anfield giants are nearing a fresh contract agreement with the defender, but it is yet to be confirmed.

Speaking on BBC One’s Football Focus [12 April], Stephen Warnock outlined how vital a new deal for Van Dijk would be for Liverpool: “I think it’s more important than Salah.
“He is just incredible. When you watch him, how effortless he makes the game look, that is not easy to do.”

Liverpool should bounce back against West Ham
The Reds still appear set to win the Premier League title and hold an unassailable lead over second-place Arsenal in the top flight.
However, in recent weeks, Slot’s men have disappointed the Anfield faithful as they were knocked out of the Champions League by Paris Saint-Germain and lost the Carabao Cup final to Newcastle.
Liverpool delighted their supporters with their Merseyside Derby win over local rivals Everton on 2 April, but that euphoria did not last for long as they were beaten by Fulham just four days later.
There is no doubt that Slot has done a remarkable job in his first season in the Anfield dugout, as the Reds are all but guaranteed to win the Premier League title.
However, the Merseyside giants must get back to winning ways as they look to enjoy a positive end to a memorable season.
West Ham have endured a disappointing Premier League campaign and should present themselves as beatable opponents come Sunday, so the Reds will likely be able to earn all three points at Anfield once more.
Once that is finally done and dusted, another contract for Van Dijk should follow.
