Liverpool ‘could push for Jarrod Bowen transfer in next 48 hours’

Liverpool are set to face West Ham United in their next Premier League fixture, which could have an impact on their summer plans.

Liverpool have now confirmed that Mohamed Salah will stay at the club, with the Egyptian winger signing a new contract, but there could be several other departures in attack.

Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz could be on their way out of the club, and this would mean that Liverpool need at least one more attacker to come in.

Arne Slot would also ideally sign someone who could cover for Salah on the right, while also playing elsewhere in the front three, and one of their upcoming opponents could be perfect.

Liverpool set to face long-term target Bowen

Liverpool’s upcoming clash with West Ham at Anfield will see them come up against in-form attacker Jarrod Bowen.

Bowen has long been linked with a move to Liverpool, and with West Ham in a difficult position with regard to their PSR, a big bid may have a chance of forcing them into a reluctant sale.

The England international has had an exceptional season in an underperforming side, and has played both as a central striker as well as a right winger.

Bowen is set to start at Anfield, and if he impresses, then Liverpool could make a quick decision within the days that follow over whether to sign him or not.

Bowen performance at Anfield could sway Liverpool decision

In the past, Liverpool have signed players after they impressed against them, with Nunez, Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana all signing for the reds after scoring or assisting at Anfield.

Should Bowen do the same, it may convince Slot that he is the right attacker to pursue in the summer. Although he has been a long-term target, this may be the perfect chance for the 28-year-old to showcase his skill to the Liverpool fans.

It is set to be a busy summer window for Liverpool, and signing a player with Bowen’s quality and experience could help them as Slot aims to rebuild the attacking force in their squad.
