Liverpool v West Ham United result predicted by supercomputer

Liverpool will attempt to increase their stranglehold on the Premier League title when they host West Ham United on Sunday.

The Reds have lost three of their last four matches in all competitions and will be looking to bounce back from the 3-2 defeat to Fulham (6 April).

Arne Slot‘s side need just 11 points from their last seven matches to wrap up the title as the maximum that Arsenal can achieve is 83 points.

Liverpool expected to beat West Ham

The Reds will be buoyed by the news that Mohamed Salah has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2027 and they must take that momentum into the Anfield clash.

West Ham have failed to win their last four matches and the Reds are expected to pile on their misery according to the latest prediction.

The Opta supercomputer has labelled the Anfield outfit as heavy favourites to secure victory with a 69.1 per cent chance.

The Hammers have just a 13.8 per cent chance and a draw stands at 17.2 per cent, meaning that there is more chance of Graham Potter’s side taking one point than all three.

Slot can take a step closer to Premier League glory

Slot is set to secure the title in his first season in English football in a historic achievement for the Dutchman after replacing Jurgen Klopp.

If his side beat the Irons as they expected to, they will need just eight points from their final six matches to wrap up the trophy and deny Mikel Arteta’s side the chance to fight back.

The race for the title.

Jamie Carragher expects Liverpool to win and he was accused of getting carried away with his prediction for the contest by Gary Neville.

They have a brilliant record against the East London outfit, winning 15 of their last 18, and the last contest was a 5-0 thrashing at the London Stadium back in December.

The Reds have to be ruthless, they cannot afford to be complacent, it is not mathematically certain yet and they cannot rest until it is and they are crowned as champions for a second time in five years.
