Neville questions what Carragher said about Liverpool – ‘getting carried away’
Liverpool face West Ham on Sunday as they look to put an end to their stumbling form with the Premier League title in their sights.
Despite Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat to Fulham last weekend, the Premier League trophy looks almost guaranteed to return to Merseyside this summer.
It has no doubt been a successful first season for Arne Slot despite a disheartening last few weeks, which has seen the club beaten in the Carabao Cup final and knocked out of the Champions League.
Now, the aim is solely to secure their second Premier League title and 20th top-flight trophy, which can potentially happen in just two games’ time.
However, Slot and Liverpool must first get past West Ham, with Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville attempting to predict the scoreline.

Neville queries Carragher prediction for Liverpool vs West Ham
Despite just one win in their last four games in all competitions, Liverpool are undoubtedly favourites for the West Ham clash.
The match will be the Reds’ first at Anfield since their 1-0 victory over Everton, with the club not losing on home soil in the Premier League since September.
However, when attempting to predict the scoreline against the Hammers on Sunday, Neville felt that Carragher was getting “carried away” with his immediate response.
On The Overlap, Carragher stated that Liverpool would win “3-0”.
However, this caused a speculative response from Gary Neville who said: “Do you think 3-0 Carra, or are you just getting carried away a little bit?”
This resulted in a more conservative scoreline of 2-0 being predicted by the duo, while Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Jill Scott predicted 2-1 to the hosts.

Liverpool must be ruthless against West Ham
Liverpool’s recent results have hindered what is set to be a fantastic season for Slot.
Criticism surrounding the club has reached a season-high in recent weeks, especially as Trent Alexander-Arnold looks set to join Real Madrid.
Therefore, a big win is needed on Sunday to silence critics and prove why Liverpool will win the Premier League this campaign.
The Reds have a fantastic record against West Ham, winning 15 of their last 18 meetings, including a massive 5-0 trashing earlier this season.
If a similar scoreline can be matched on Sunday, it would do the club the world of good and help end the campaign on a deserved high note.
