Mohamed Salah new contract: Major Anfield update amid Saudi communication
Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah could leave Anfield with his deal expiring at the end of the season.
The Egyptian has been at Liverpool since 2017 and has won every possible trophy in his eight-year spell in Merseyside.
With Salah in the final few months of his deal at Anfield, tensions are on the rise as the 32-year-old has not signed a new deal, prompting fear among fans that the ex-Chelsea attacker could leave for free.
Salah has been an evergreen target for the Saudi Arabian League, with concrete efforts to sign him made last summer.

Salah priority revealed
The former AS Roma attacker has been presented with a new Liverpool deal, but he has yet to put pen to paper.
The Anfield chiefs are confident that Salah will not start negotiations with other clubs before completing the talks with the Reds.
Competition | Matches | Goals | Assists |
Premier League | 29 | 27 | 17 |
Champions League | 9 | 3 | 4 |
EFL Cup | 5 | 2 | 1 |
However, Saudi League chiefs are keen to bring the 32-year-old and have been in dialogue with him over a deal.
According to The Telegraph, Saudi Pro League chiefs are aware that Salah’s priority remains an extension with Liverpool but are confident that they are still in the race to sign the attacker in the summer.
The report further adds that there is an open line of communication between Salah and the Saudi League chiefs and there is a chance that the 32-year-old will move to the Middle East if the Reds fail to reach an agreement with him.

Liverpool must tie Salah down to a new deal
The Egyptian is having a stellar season at Anfield as he has 54 goal contributions in 32 games and is on course to break several goalscoring records in the Premier League.
The Reds’ dependence on Salah for goals is extremely high as he has scored Liverpool’s 39.1 per cent of Premier League’s goals. He is Liverpool’s best player by a mile and replacing him is a herculean task.
Despite being 32, the Egyptian has shown he can perform week in and week out consistently and win games for the Merseysiders.
With Liverpool planning to sign Alexander Isak in the summer, the Reds could have an explosive duo of Isak and Salah in the attack who could score goals for fun.
If the former Chelsea man is tied to a new deal, Liverpool will also benefit commercially as Salah is one of the most followed athletes in the world and commands a significant brand value.
