Alexander-Arnold for Liverpool

A lot of Liverpool fans are unhappy and even angry to a certain extent as Alexander-Arnold is on the verge of leaving the Reds.

Discussing the move on The Rest is Football podcast, Gary Lineker mentioned the backlash Alexander-Arnold has received from certain Liverpool fans.

Reacting to Lineker’s comments, Shearer was shocked and shook his head in disbelief at fans’ treatment of Alexander-Arnold.

Shearer went on to state that Alexander-Arnold ultimately owes Liverpool nothing and is well within his rights to want to begin a new journey abroad.

Real Madrid would be a good move for Alexander-Arnold

While seeing Alexander-Arnold leave would make fans sad, a move to Real Madrid would be an excellent career progression for the academy product.

The Englishman has won all the trophies for Liverpool and moving to Real Madrid could take his career to another level.

The Spanish giants are always the favourites to win the Champions League and contenders to win the LaLiga.

The Real Madrid squad is an amalgamation of the world’s best players and Alexander-Arnold being surrounded by players like Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and others will see his game elevate to the next level.

Liverpool will surely miss Alexander-Arnold, but a move to Real Madrid doesn’t come often and cannot be ignored.
