Arne Slot ‘has transfer decision made for him’ after crushing Liverpool injury
Arne Slot is looking ahead to the summer transfer window with some big decisions needing to be made at Liverpool.
It has been reported that Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to leave Anfield for Real Madrid, while the futures of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk remain unknown.
However, the boss has more to consider than those who are stealing the headlines with other exits on the card, and one outcome may have just been decided for him.

Liverpool loanee injury blow
While there is plenty of talent in Slot’s first team, eyes will also be on those who are practising their trade elsewhere having been loaned out for the campaign.
Owen Beck has spent the season on loan with Blackburn Rovers in order to get first-team football under his belt, and things got off to a good start.
The 22-year-old was a regular part of the Rovers side and received a call-up to the Wales squad as a result of his impressive form.

However, his game time has been limited of late and he had missed the last seven games for his loan club through a hamstring injury.
Upon his return to action in a 1-0 defeat away at Portsmouth on Saturday (29 March), the left-back was forced off again after just 13 minutes, suggesting he had come back from injury too soon.
How long the set-back will keep him out for this time is yet to be seen, but at this stage in the season, it’s certainly not what he would’ve been hoping for.

Slot has Beck decision made
Slot has shown that he is not afraid to use the young talent that is available to him at Anfield, as long as a player shows that they are ready for the step up to the first team.
Therefore, if Beck could return to his parent club in pre-season and show good form, there is no reason why the possibility of involvement wouldn’t be there.
However, it was previously reported that Sheffield United are eyeing up a move for Beck if they gain promotion to the top flight, and given his latest injury issue, this may be what dictates his future.
Slot certainly has bigger transfers to worry about at the moment, but if he is serious about his side pushing at the top again next term, the Reds will need players that are able to add to the cause.
While the youngster has been impressive, you can understand why Liverpool would make the decision to cash in on a transfer now, especially if he looks like he could struggle with the intensity of too much football.
