Liverpool learn Adam Wharton price in brand new transfer reveal
Liverpool are keeping a very close eye on Crystal Palace prodigy Adam Wharton ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Reds are on course to win the Premier League convincingly, but have fallen short in other competitions, with further strength in depth needed.
Liverpool underwent a midfield rebuild in 2023 when they signed four new options – Dominik Szoboszlai, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo.
While Szoboszlai, Mac Allister and Gravenberch have been extensively used by Slot, Endo has been reduced to appearances off the bench.
Liverpool are looking to bring in another defensive midfielder, with eyes on Wharton.

Liverpool learn Wharton price tag
Wharton burst onto the scene last season, impressing from defensive midfield for the Eagles.
His superb performances earned him a national team call-up for England in the EURO 2024 campaign.
The 21-year-old has continued to shine for the London side this season, making 13 appearances. Wharton missed 14 Premier League games because of a groin injury but has come back strongly, proving to be a reliable outlet in the middle of the park.

Liverpool are not alone in the chase, though, as Arsenal and Chelsea are also keen to sign the 21-year-old.
With interest high in the Englishman, Crystal Palace have communicated the player’s desire to the interested parties ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to the transfer correspondent George Bailey of TBR Football, the South-London side has slapped a £100million valuation on Wharton.
Palace have also revealed that the player wishes to continue at Selhurst Park next season, dashing hopes of Liverpool and other interested parties to acquire his services.

Slot must offload Endo
The Premier League leaders have enough midfield options, which has seen Endo play just 742 minutes of football this term.
Even if Wharton is not signed in the summer, Endo’s time at Anfield could be up as he has turned 32 a month ago and doesn’t seem to be in Slot’s regular plans.
The Japan international has a contract till 2027, so the upcoming transfer window could be a perfect opportunity for the Merseysiders to cash in on him.
