Liverpool want £67m-rated forward as Darwin Nunez transfer update emerges
Darwin Nunez could potentially end his stint at Liverpool in the upcoming transfer window after an underwhelming spell at Anfield.
The Uruguay international signed for the Reds in a big-money deal from Benfica in 2022 but has failed to live up to expectations since then.
Arne Slot has relied on Mohamed Salah to shoulder the goalscoring burden at Anfield this season, with the 25-year-old striker struggling for regular first-team action.
Nunez is now attracting interest from Nottingham Forest [TEAMtalk], and the Merseyside outfit will arguably need to replace the centre-forward if he leaves.

Hugo Ekitike transfer wanted by Liverpool
Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike is being eyed by the Reds ahead of next summer, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports journalist reports on X (28 March) that Slot’s team have registered their interest in the 22-year-old to bolster their attack in the coming months.

It’s been claimed that the Bundesliga outfit want around £67million for the former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) centre-forward.
The Merseysiders aren’t the only team interested in the France Under-21 international, with Manchester United also seriously considering his signing.

FSG must back Slot in summer transfer window
Slot is on course to win the Premier League in his debut managerial season in the English top flight.
The Reds weren’t expected to do much when the Dutch manager replaced Jurgen Klopp last summer.
Fenway Sports Group (FSG) and the recruitment team at Anfield felt it was appropriate only to sign Federico Chiesa in the previous two transfer windows.
While the former Feyenoord head coach has managed to bring the best out of Liverpool this season, the losses to PSG in the Champions League and Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final highlighted the need for reinforcements.
Ekitike was a promising talent in France during his time at Stade Reims but struggled to make an impact at PSG.
The 22-year-old has rediscovered his form since moving to Frankfurt and looks like an impressive talent any top team would undoubtedly want to invest in.
Apart from Nunez, Diogo Jota’s future at Anfield also seems uncertain after suffering consistent fitness issues over the years.
While a new striker should be on Michael Edwards’ agenda, whether the Reds will want to spend a hefty fee on Ekitike remains to be seen.
