Liverpool defender Conor Bradley will be hopeful of a regular starting role at Anfield next season.

The Northern Ireland international has been in and out of the side under Arne Slot, making just two Premier League starts this campaign.

With that being said, that could be set to change in the coming months as Trent Alexander-Arnold looks set to finalise a move to Real Madrid.

Looking ahead to the new season on Merseyside, the 21-year-old looks set to be the winner after a transfer update emerged at Manchester United.

It is little surprise that the Reds will be keen on bringing in a right-back before the end of the summer window.

Losing Alexander-Arnold will prove to be a huge blow for Slot and his side, leaving a gap which will certainly need to be filled moving forward.

Although Bradley will prove to be a useful deputy, a new option is being targeted on Merseyside ahead of the new campaign.

This has seen Bayer Leverkusen ace Frimpong linked with a switch from the Bundesliga to Anfield as his ability to also play as a winger appeals to the L4 club.

The Netherlands international’s camp has now held talks with Manchester United ahead of the upcoming window, according to TBR Football (26 March).

Ruben Amorim sees the former Celtic man as an ideal candidate to play in his 3-4-3 system as a wingback at Old Trafford.

If Frimpong was to opt in to a move to the Theatre of Dreams, it would likely come as a boost to the career prospect of Bradley on Merseyside.

Ultimately, if the Dutchman is to turn down a move to the soon-to-be Premier League champions for Manchester United, it is his mistake.

The Red Devils are seriously struggling for form in the Premier League this campaign and aren’t showing signs of improvement.

Old Trafford does still have a pull for players and that could work against Slot and Co. moving into the new season without Alexander-Arnold.

This could ultimately give Bradley the freedom to be the starting fullback and help him fulfill his potential at just 21 years old.
