Slot has ready-made Liverpool replacement as Chiesa lined up for ‘quickfire’ exit
Liverpool look set to revamp their front line in the summer, but internal solutions could come into play to help complete the squad.
Several attackers have come under fire despite the Reds being so comfortable in the Premier League, with Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota all receiving criticism for their performances at times.
Despite their collective inconsistency, Federico Chiesa has hardly been given a chance since his summer move from Juventus.
The Italy International scored in the Carabao Cup final defeat against Newcastle, but he nevertheless looks set to move on in the summer, and Liverpool may already have a replacement lined up.

Federico Chiesa set for Liverpool exit
It has now been reported that as part of Liverpool’s summer transfer plans, Chiesa is set to leave after just one year at Anfield.
Winger | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Federico Chiesa | 11 | 2 | 2 |
Ben Doak | 24 | 3 | 7 |
“The biggest shake-up could come in attack. Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota both face uncertain futures, while Darwin Nunez is likely to move on and Federico Chiesa may seal a quickfire exit,” GIVEMESPORT have now reported.
Whilst Liverpool have been linked with Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon as blockbuster summer signings, Chiesa’s replacement could be an internal one.

Ben Doak could replace Federico Chiesa at Liverpool
Arne Slot’s ideal Chiesa replacement could be Scotland international Ben Doak, who is currently on loan at Championship side Middlesbrough.
Doak has performed superbly at Boro, recording three goals and seven assists in 24 Championship games and, at 19, he would rejoin the Liverpool squad as an exciting talent with more experience under his belt.
The teenager is comfortable on the right wing and can replace Chiesa as a rotational option on that side. Liverpool rejected offers for Doak from Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town in January, and this may indicate that he has been earmarked for a squad role next season.
Doak suffered an injury in February which has interrupted an otherwise sensational loan spell at Boro, but he could yet return before the end of the season.
More high-level first-team action would help Doak develop, and joining the Liverpool squad appears to be the best move for the winger to progress, but only if he is afforded more opportunities than Chiesa.
The Italian has appeared just 11 times this season, and has not been called upon even when attackers such as Diaz have struggled, and Doak will need to be given a higher standing in the squad than Chiesa if he is to succeed next season.
