Exclusive: Ex-scout tells Liverpool to sign the forward who’s the new Mo Salah

Liverpool might soon begin life without Mohamed Salah, but there is one player who could fill the hole left behind by the forward.

Salah is enjoying arguably the best season of his career.

The Egyptian has scored 32 goals and provided 22 assists across 43 appearances in all competitions, and his form could soon fire Liverpool to their second Premier League title.

As a result, Arne Slot would no doubt love to keep hold of the 32-year-old. However, with Salah’s contract set to expire in just a few short months, time is running out to negotiate a new deal.

Therefore, Liverpool might soon be forced to replace their star player, a task which would be impossible if not for the existence of one forward, who could become the new Salah at Anfield.

Liverpool might soon need to replace Salah

Salah’s future is very much up in the air, as an official update from Saudi Arabia emerges.

While his exit has not yet been officially announced by Liverpool, it is looking increasingly likely with each passing day that the winger will move on from the club this summer.

As a result, former Premier League scout Bryan King, who worked for Tottenham, Aston Villa and Everton, has exclusively told Liverpool News who he believes should replace the Egyptian.

“Alexander Isak should be Salah’s replacement,” King said.

“He would be the one I would try and sign if I was Liverpool. If Salah does move on, I would certainly urge Liverpool to sign him. This is a player who is of a similar quality to Salah. The money saved from Salah’s wages could be put toward Isak.”

Isak would be a top replacement for Salah

While filling Salah’s boots is no doubt an enormous task, and one which Isak might not necessarily fulfil, he is certainly one of the few players who has demonstrated the potential to do so.

Any deal for Isak is likely to cost the Reds big money. However, considering Salah’s quality and legacy at Liverpool, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that signing his replacement will be an expensive mission.
