Liverpool ‘to replace Salah with Osimhen’ as transfer development emerges
Liverpool could swoop for Victor Osimhen if Mohamed Salah is to leave at the end of his current contract.
The Egypt international looks destined to be on his way out of Anfield in the summer as his deal ticks down towards the end of the season.
This will certainly represent a huge blow for Arne Slot after what has been a sensational Premier League campaign from the 32-year-old.
In order to fill that gap, Osimhen could be targeted as the Nigeria international goes in search of a new home away from Napoli.

Osimhen could join Liverpool in the summer
The 26-year-old currently finds himself out on loan at Galatasaray after a falling out in Naples forced him to move with the Turkish Super Lig as his only option.
Looking ahead to the summer, the elite sides of world football of world football are going to be monitoring the striker after another 25+ goal season.
Nigeria teammate William Troost Ekong has suggested that the Reds could target Osimhen as they look to get “a new striker next season”.
Former Brentford manager Martin Allen has echoed this and suggested that the striker could prove to be a replacement option for Salah for next season.
“He’s sharp, he’s bright, a good finisher and he’s hungry,” Allen told Liverpool News.
“These are the things that Liverpool need in their forward line. It’s going to be such an interesting summer at Liverpool with Salah out of contract and looking set to move on.
“They are going to have to sign some players to replace what they’re going to lose.
“They are going to need a mini-rebuild and Osimhen could be part of that.“

Salah preparing for Liverpool exit
The Anfield faithful are fearing for the worst as time ticks towards the end of the season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is yet to sign a new deal and a free transfer to Real Madrid seems to be firmly on the cards.
Similarly, Virgil van Dijk could be set to exit for PSG, leaving the Reds with half of their regular defensive four missing.
With that being said, it is arguably much easier to replace defenders, but what can not be replaced is a goal and assist output of 54 in all competitions.
Competition | Games played | Goals | Assists |
Premier League | 29 | 27 | 17 |
Carabao Cup | 5 | 2 | 1 |
Champions League | 9 | 3 | 4 |
Total | 43 | 32 | 22 |
Salah has not had anything positive to say about a potential new deal which only lends itself to an exit in the upcoming window.
This will be a massive miss moving into the new season but Slot will be hoping that an incoming signing like Osimhen could soften that blow somewhat.
