Liverpool fans rage at ‘disgraceful’ Henderson antics with England – ‘Do one’

Jordan Henderson is widely considered as one of the greatest captains in Liverpool’s history.

The 34-year-old led the Reds to the Champions League trophy and a maiden Premier League title in his stint on Merseyside.

However, he has left supporters enraged with his antics after the Carabao Cup final loss to Newcastle (16 March).

As the squad met at St George’s Park on Monday (17 March), footage emerged of Dan Burn watching his goal from the clash with Henderson.

The former Reds skipper can be seen laughing and joking with the Magpies ace, despite his affiliation with the Anfield outfit.

Liverpool fans left furious after Henderson antics

It is safe to say that Reds supporters have been left less than impressed with their former captain’s behaviour.

It is even more baffling given that Henderson is from Sunderland and used to play for the club, which is Newcastle’s arch-rivals.

However, supporters should focus on the Premier League title race and not be too concerned by what a former player is doing away from Anfield

It’s not like Henderson is still the club captain, he is just trying to bond with a new member of the national team squad and make them feel welcome in what must be an intimidating group to come into for the first time.

The Reds have nine matches left to play and need just 16 points to win the title, with the maximum total that Arsenal can achieve being 85 points.

Arne Slot must ensure that his side stay composed and do not let a week of setbacks, in which they exiting the Champions League to Paris Saint-Germain and lost a domestic final, affect his players too much.

Given their commanding lead in the league, it would be a huge embarrassment if they throw it away from here, and supporters must help the team to achieve a historic feat in Slot’s first season in charge after replacing Jurgen Klopp.
