Osimhen to Liverpool: Teammate drops transfer bombshell live on talkSPORT
Liverpool could be in line to make a summer swoop to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
The Reds have struggled for a consistent number nine in their side throughout the season despite the success under Arne Slot.
This could prompt the Anfield club to assess their options in the upcoming transfer window after making just one signing under the Dutchman so far.
A move for the Nigeria international could be prepared in the coming weeks after what a current teammate has revealed.

Osimhen could sign for Liverpool in the summer
Darwin Nunez just hasn’t been good enough since joining from Benfica and that has only been amplified this campaign.
The Uruguay international could be on his way out of Merseyside before the new season kicks off, leaving a gap in the squad at Anfield.
This could provide a perfect opportunity to bring in Osimhen as a move away from Napoli looks very likely after a bust up last summer.
The 26-year-old’s teammate with Nigeria, William Troost Ekong has suggested that a move to the Reds could be possible in the summer.
Speaking live on talkSPORT (16 March, 9:55am), he said: “Victor is one who has been talked about a lot since last summer.
“I know that he’s a Chelsea fan but I also know that he’s had talks with all the top teams so it’ll be up to whatever he chooses to do.
“I think he would fit in any team. I know at Liverpool they’ve spoken about getting a new striker next season.”

Osimhen could transform Liverpool
The former Lille striker has been electric during a bizarre loan stint with Galatasaray in Turkyie this season.
The Nigerian joined Gala after a disagreement in Naples, late on in the summer window, left the Super Lig as his only option.
Osimhen has taken his chance with both hands after netting 20 and assisting four across just 22 league appearances since moving.
This follows a four-year stint with Napoli which saw him score 76 times as he won a Serie A title back in 2023.
Team | Victor Osimhen goals |
Galatasaray | 26 |
Napoli | 76 |
Lille | 18 |
Sporting Charleroi | 20 |
Now a move to the Premier League could be calling, and if he is to make a move to England, the Reds need to position themselves at the front of the queue.
If Mohamed Salah was to leave, a new talisman is going to be needed at Anfield and there is no doubt that the Nigerian could prove to be that man.
Fans will await further information as the season comes to an end and the summer transfer window gets underway.
