As a result, bringing Boubacar Kamara in from Aston Villa could prove to be a wise move after a superb campaign under Unai Emery.
The Frenchman is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League and flies under the radar with his talents despite his performances for a high-flying Villa side.
The 25-year-old is also out of contract at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, which could see the Villans look for a sale as PSR continues to loom over Villa Park.
Kamara could transform Liverpool next season
The introduction of the former Marseille man at Anfield would add a shield to the backline which could prove to be needed moving forward.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk could be on their way out and the defensive shift could be difficult to navigate in one summer window.
Kamara would certainly help to add a balance during these changes with his ability to drop in to form a back three during games and that can help, especially in big games.
