‘Liverpool may have perfect Mohamed Salah replacement’

Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool future is still undecided with his contract edging closer to its expiry.

The Egyptian King has been Arne Slot’s star this season with the attacker among the best players in the world.

Others such as Cody Gakpo have also stepped up to the plate on occasion but without Salah among their ranks, Liverpool would have been far worse off this term.

Salah’s future has been the talk of the town since the 2024/25 season kicked off and as we now enter the final few months of his deal, a decision is still yet to be made.

However, if he does leave, they may be able to find his replacement at West Ham after their below-par performances across all competitions this season.

Liverpool should make Jarrod Bowen move

For the last few seasons, the bright spark within West Ham’s squad has been Jarrod Bowen.

The Englishman is the Hammers’ captain and has without a doubt been their best player once again this term.

Taking to X (27 February), Henry Winter lauded the Englishman for his performance against Leicester after they triumphed 2-0 over the Foxes.

“Jarrod Bowen outstanding again”, he wrote. “Involved in both West Ham United goals (and surely deserved crediting with the second).

“Leader, dynamo, also created a great chance for Evan Ferguson, and showed a commitment lacking in Leicester City.”

Bowen has missed a fair few games due to injury this season and when he wasn’t part of the Hammers’ team, their quality dropped massively.

His impact on West Ham is second to none and he’d no doubt do even better with a team of Liverpool’s quality playing around him.

Bowen would fit in at Anfield

With the way that Arne Slot sets his team up, Bowen would be a perfect fit for his squad.

The Englishman’s keen eye for goal and his ability to dribble past opponents with ease are just two of the key assets that make him as good as he is.

He’s also a versatile player who can be used as a number nine which is an area that the Reds need to look at improving in the summer window after the recent performances of Darwin Nunez.

Bowen may be 28 years old but the fact he’s contributed to 12 goals in just 26 games this season proves that there’s still plenty of quality left within him.

If Liverpool want to carry over the dominance they’ve shown in the 2024/25 campaign into next season, the addition of Bowen could be a perfect way for them to do so, especially if Salah’s future does lie away from Anfield.
