Milos Kerkez transfer: Liverpool move on cards after major change

Milos Kerkez could potentially move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window after a major change involving the Bournemouth left-back.

Arne Slot has relied on Andy Robertson this season, but the Reds are looking to add competition in their defence ahead of next season.

Konstantinos Tsimikas has served as backup to the Scotland international, but Kerkez would arguably add quality at Anfield.

The Merseyside outfit made just one signing in the previous two transfer windows and are set to make significant moves in the coming months.

Kerkez likely to leave Bournemouth amid Liverpool interest

Kerkez is likely to leave the Cherries in the coming months amid interest from Liverpool, according to GiveMeSport.

The news outlet reports (5 March) that the 21-year-old has changed his agent and is now being represented by Fali Ramadani.

It has been claimed that the Hungary international is already exploring options for next summer and planning to leave Bournemouth soon.

Liverpool will need to pay more than £40million to sign the left-back and are set to make a move for him.

Slot needs Kerkez after Robertson developments

Robertson could be considering his options at Anfield if the Reds end up signing Kerkez from the Cherries next summer.

The Scotsman has been the first-choice at the Merseyside outfit for several years now and arguably still has a few years left in the tank.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the 30-year-old pushing for a move if he’s no longer the main man under Slot next season.

The Dutch manager has done a brilliant job in the current campaign, on course to winning the Premier League, despite not being backed in the transfer windows.

Fenway Sports Group (FSG) must reinforce Slot’s squad if they hope to remain competitive next season as well.

While Tsimikas would seemingly be willing to stay at Anfield as the number two, the Reds may have to part ways with one of their full-backs if Kerkez is signed.

The Hungarian defender has developed into one of the best players under Andoni Iraola in the current campaign as Bournemouth sit near the Champions League places.
