‘Wataru Endo finished at Liverpool’ as ‘best’ scouting update emerges

Wataru Endo could be on the chopping block at Liverpool as the summer transfer window approaches.

The Japan international has been a bit-part player ever since coming in from Stuttgart in the summer of 2023

Despite this, the 32-year-old has still played an important role under Arne Slot as his side go in search of a Premier League title in his first season.

If that is to be the case and the famous trophy makes its way to Anfield, changes could be utilised in the summer and that could spell bad news for Endo.

Liverpool send scouts to watch Lamine Camara

The Reds’ number three prefers to operate as a defensive midfielder if possible and has often played second fiddle to the excellent Ryan Gravenberch.

The Japanese ace has still been afforded 23 appearances in all competitions, but that tally is likely to drop if a new signing is made in the same position.

This could prove to be the case with Monaco ace Camara who has attracted interest from Merseyside with Liverpool seemingly keen on an active summer window [TBR Football].

A host of top Premier League clubs have sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old in recent months with the midfielder being noted as “one of the best African prospects” seen in recent times.

It would represent a real coup for Slot and Co. if the former Metz midfielder was to choose to move to L4 as opposed to the likes of Tottenham, Manchester City and Chelsea, and could also represent bad news for Endo.

Endo could be done at Liverpool if Camara signs

It is fair to say that if the Senegalese midfielder joins for a big money fee and rejects high level interest to join the Reds, he will be expecting regular minutes.

If that is to be the case, his Japanese counterpart will be shoved further down the pecking order on Merseyside and as a result, a move away could make sense.

Given how solid the ex-Stuttgart man has been under both Jurgen Klopp and Slot, there is unlikely to be a lack of potential suitors.

This could help to bring in funds for Liverpool to contribute to PSR safety while also benefitting Endo’s career during the latter stage of his playing days.
