Exclusive: Kieran Maguire shares Liverpool PSR update after accounts reveal
Liverpool have revealed their accounts for the 2023/24 period which have confirmed a £57million loss.
The Reds have had a dream season on the pitch, with Arne Slot seemingly set to take his side to just a second ever Premier League title in L4.
This would prove to be a monumental success in his first season in charge, although off the pitch issues may begin to take hold at Anfield.
There has been some concern raised since the accounts for the past year were shared on Merseyside, but any worries have now been put to bed by Kieran Maguire.

Maguire reveals PSR safety at Liverpool despite accounting losses
On Friday (28 February), the Reds revealed their annual financial accounts for the year to May 31, 2024 via their official website.
This saw the L4 club achieve more than £300 million in commercial revenue for the first time in their history, but this is where the positivity ended.
A £57m pre-tax loss was reported despite bringing in this record level of income. This was the case thanks, in part, to media revenue falling by £38m to £204m and administrative costs rising by £38m.
Despite this damming update emerging on Merseyside, financial expert Maguire has revealed that there is no concern of punishment for breaching financial rules.
Speaking exclusively to Liverpool News, Maguire said: “Liverpool are in a very healthy PSR position and have no worries in that regard despite the losses.“

Liverpool to be delighted with PSR freedom
There is no doubt that PSR rules have left many clubs and their supporters across the Premier League heavily frustrated, forcing them to change their transfer approach.
There was no sort of worry of this at Anfield last summer as Slot made just one signing ahead of his first campaign in English football.
It is fair to say that this has worked to his benefit with his side sitting top of the tree despite the lack of impact from his one addition, Federico Chiesa.
Position | Team | Goal difference | Points |
1 | Liverpool | +40 | 67 |
2 | Arsenal | +28 | 54 |
3 | Nottingham Forest | +11 | 48 |
4 | Manchester City | +16 | 47 |
It now appears that the Reds are going to be active in the upcoming window as their finances could place them in a much better position than their rivals.
This could be supplemented by the sales of potentially unwanted players like Darwin Nunez who could allow for multiple summer signings.
It will be interesting to see how this development impact’s the Anfield club but it is safe to say that supporters can now rest easy.
