Ibrahima Konate sends light-hearted warning to Mohamed Salah – ‘Be careful’
Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate left an amusing comment on Reds teammate Mohamed Salah’s latest Instagram post.
The Merseyside giants established a 13-point lead at the top of the Premier League table when they defeated Newcastle United 2-0 on Wednesday night thanks to goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and fellow midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.
While the 32-year-old was not on target in the game, he has been a hugely influential figure for the Reds this season and Salah has been mooted as a potential Ballon d’Or winner given his superb performances.
So it is understandable why his team-mates would be so keen to look out for the Egyptian superstar, who has long been Liverpool’s talisman in the Premier League.

Konate leaves hilarious comment on Salah’s Instagram post
Salah has been key to Liverpool’s success so far this season and has notched an incredible return of 30 goals and 22 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions.
The Egypt international has been simply superb this term, and would be unlucky not to win the Ballon d’Or come the end of the year.

Salah’s latest Instagram post showed him decorating his house with Ramadan decorations and was captioned: “#RamadanKareem.”
The second photo on the prolific winger’s post pictured him standing on the back of his sofa while placing some bunting on the wall.
Konate took to the comments section to jokingly warn his teammate not to get injured: “Brother be careful please.”
Liverpool supporters around the world will agree with the defender’s sentiment, as Salah has been a remarkable talisman this season, and is enjoying his best campaign since his first term on Merseyside, back in 2017/18.
Liverpool supporters remain anxious about Salah’s contract situation
Despite his aforementioned brilliance, Liverpool are still yet to hand Salah a new contract at Anfield, so he could be set to depart the club for free at the end of the season.
Such a development would anger Reds supporters, even though the Egyptian can spearhead them on their way to winning three trophies.
Slot’s men are firmly on their way to winning the Premier League title, which is largely down to Salah’s continued excellence.
His prolific tendencies could help Liverpool navigate their difficult Champions League encounters with French giants PSG, and could also fire them to Wembley glory when it comes to their EFL Cup final clash with Newcastle on 16th March.
Despite his tremendous ability, though, the 32-year-old will leave the Reds at the end of the season as things stand, which would cause bitter disappointment among supporters.
Salah is undoubtedly one of the greatest players in Liverpool’s history, and they need to do all they can to make sure he doesn’t walk away come the end of the season.
