Liverpool injury news: Timeline of Conor Bradley first-team return emerges

Liverpool defender Conor Bradley is on course for a tricky rehab post his muscular injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that as his setback was a muscular one, it might take him slightly longer to return to action.

The right-back last featured for the Anfield outfit on 19 February, in the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.

Reds defender Conor Bradley expected to be out until April

Bradley has proven to be a competent understudy to Trent Alexander-Arnold and he would’ve been a handy option to have on the bench going into the business end of the season.

However, by the looks of it, he’s not expected back in training until the second week of March and is unlikely to be ready for first-team action until April.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Liverpool News: “It sounds like a Grade 2 thigh injury based on what has been said.

It’s a muscular injury so it will be a more tricky rehab as well.

I do not seem him returning to training until the second week of March.

An early April return to first-team football should be on the cards.

Arne Slot has a bit of a right-back crisis at Liverpool

Arne Slot’s side appear to be cruising towards the Premier League title, but he would want his best players available for all games.

Bradley and Joe Gomez, two options at right-back, are both out injured, leaving Alexander-Arnold as the senior right-back expected to start in every game.

As Gomez has undergone surgery, he is expected to return even later than Bradley and may not even be back before the end of the season.

Jarell Quansah has been deployed in the right-back position and while he’s done a decent job, he’s not particularly confident playing in that role.

Slot will be hoping that Bradley can return to training as soon as possible as that would increase the Reds’ chances of winning the title.

He has played 12 Premier League games this season and has offered a threat going forward for the Merseyside outfit.
