Liverpool fans react to new supercomputer Premier League title prediction – ‘Wow’

Liverpool fans have been blown away after the latest supercomputer prediction of the final Premier League table.

The Reds maintained their pursuit of their second title triumph in the competition with a 2-0 win against Newcastle United at Anfield on Wednesday night (26 February).

Goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai were enough to secure three points against Newcastle in a dress rehearsal for the upcoming Carabao Cup final.

This win only further cemented Arne Slot’s side’s position on top of the Premier League pile, with a supercomputer now predicting the rest of the campaign.

It is safe to say that the Anfield faithful have fallen in love with the Dutchman this campaign, despite having the huge job of replacing Jurgen Klopp.

The ex-Feyenoord head coach has taken to English football like a duck to water and looks set to secure his first Premier League title in his first season.

The Opta supercomputer has given the Reds a 98.83 per cent chance of finishing top of the league ahead of Arsenal on 89.29 points.

By comparison, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side have been handed a 1.17 per chance of securing the title, with the Gunners predicted to finish over 12 points behind the Merseyside outfit.

This has been met by excited reactions from the Anfield faithful, with one fan taking to X [26 February] to simply say: “Wow.”

If this prediction is to come true, another supporter has suggested that a statue should be built to commemorate the manager.

They said: “Slot will go down as a legend and they should start building the statue at Anfield. Masterclass this season.”

Another fan echoed this, saying: “Arne Slot is a genius!”

Despite the achievement of the Reds this campaign, which has been described as “genius”, there is still an expectation that Arsenal could catch up.

A rival supporter reacted to the prediction, adding: “Arsenal are gonna pull off the greatest title win ever, trust me.”

Regardless of this, Liverpool fans aren’t sold on that idea with one fan disagreeing, saying: “98.7 per cent. Is that it….should be about 99.9 per cent”

Liverpool destined to win Premier League

With Mohamed Salah in the form he is in, there is no reason why the Reds will not win the Premier League.

Even though the Egypt international didn’t get on the scoresheet on Wednesday, his two assists were the difference between a draw and another three points.

With the likes of the impressive Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch and Szoboszlai also in top form, it doesn’t appear that the Slot train is stopping any time soon.

With Arsenal failing without a striker, unless something truly drastic happens between now and the end of the campaign, Liverpool can cruise to a second Premier League title win.
