Slot has Liverpool on course for Nike payout as details shared

Liverpool could be set for a major windfall if they win the Premier League and Champions League after a new update emerged.

The Reds are already set for a huge sum at end of the campaign, with Dan Plumley estimating that their earnings could total £248 million if they win the league and European titles.

Arne Slot’s side could very well achieve that figure with the Anfield outlet forging an 11-point lead at the summit of the domestic league and topping the league-phase in Europe’s premier competition.

They may receive an additional bonus if they can hold off Arsenal in the final 12 matches of the season.

Liverpool set for Nike bonus

The Reds are in the final year of their deal with American manufacturer Nike with the L4 outfit set to switch to Adidas kits next season.

A report from The Athletic (24 February) claims that the Merseysiders will receive £2million if they hold on and win the league.

Anfield outfit set for mega Adidas deal

The Reds are set to announce a £60m a year five-year deal with the German fashion brand to supply their kits from the 2025/26 season.

That is a considerable increase on the current £30m deal with Nike, which can rise with performance and loyalty bonuses but is still well short of the new figure that the Anfield outfit will receive from Adidas.

The rise brings the Anfield club level with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester City who all earn a similar amount from their kit manufacturers at the moment.

The new commercial benefits will mean very little to supporters though if Fenway Sports Group allows Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, and Mohamed Salah to leave for free in the summer when their contracts expire.

New contracts are yet to be agreed upon with any of the trio and Plumley believes that it could take over £200 million to replace them if they do depart if the Reds try to replace them like for like.
